STENDA TRADING (PTY) LTD Is seeking to appoint a Diesel Mechanic
Minimum qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12 and N3 minimal Technical Certificate
- Trade Test Diesel/Earthmoving Mechanics (Red Seal)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid medical certificate. (Red ticket)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Determining machines conditions by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion, etc.
- Correct machines deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting overhauling assembling,disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics, completes machine shop operations, making adjustments and alignments, including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, value mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches and traction units.
- Verifies machines performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
- Knowledge with proof of training for Hitachi, CAT, Bell, Volvo equipment is advantageous.
- Maintains Machines appearance by cleaning and washing.
- Maintains Machines records by annotating services and repairs.
- Perform Risk Assessments.
