Work Description
The belt Attendant represents a dedicated team of operations members responsible to operate, maintain and
service all the conveyor belts.
Minimum qualification Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Knowledge of belt repairing and minor maintenance
• Competent B certificate
• Have good communication skills. Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Follow work instructions and work orders,
• Ensure proper understanding of the required actions,
• Apply recognized work and safety standards and procedures,
• Cleaning and breaking rocks,
• Conduct daily inspections on all belt related equipment to ensure correct functioning,
• Ensure that the areas around the conveyor belts are clean and well kept,
• Assist the engineering artisans to conduct all planned schedule maintenance on belt related equipment,
• Ensure that all required tools, materials, and spares are available to perform tasks,
• Ensure that material is not unnecessarily wasted,
• Report to Belt supervisor any unexpected problems.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Belt Attendant

MECHANIC (Ref: ST004/2023)
Minimum qualification Requirements:
• Must be able to work under pressure, Overtime and Standby.
• Report daily to the Foreman/site manager.
• Grade 12 and N2 Technical Certificate,
• Trade test Diesel/ Earthmoving Mechanics – Red Seal recognised by Quality Council for Trades and
Occupations,
• Underground Flameproof Certificate,
• Gas Testing Certificate,
• Valid Driver’s Licence with own transport,
• Have good communication skills. Able to read, talk, write and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain a certificate of fitness for working underground.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Determining machines conditions by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and
damaged parts.
• Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component
and part upgrades, controlling corrosion,
• Correct machines deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting overhauling assembling, disassembling, and
replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components parts, or systems.
• Perform Risk Assessment.
Experience:
Previous experience on Sandvic-ED07 & ED10, EIMCHO-913 & 915, Underground tractors and Dynas.
5+ years’ experience in the mining industry.

Miner (Ref:ST003/2023)
Minimum qualification Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Blasting Certificate in fiery mines
• Computer literate and Microsoft Office suite
• Have good communication skills. Able to read, talk, write and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain a certificate of fitness for working underground.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for conducting start of shift waiting place procedure i.e. Safety meetings and general meetings
• Compliance to Mine Health and Safety Act,
• Identify inefficiencies and provide improvements,
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards,
• Ensure that daily targets are met by providing leadership to the team,
• Control costs by minimising material loses,
• SHE compliance to achieve ZERO harm.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in this position with 1 year experience in outbye areas.

Minimum qualification Requirements:
• Grade 12/ Std 10 Certificate (essential)
• Comsoc I & II/ (essential)
• Knowledge of MHSA

• Implementation of SHE systems in term of ISO 45001- Including policies risk management and procedures,
• Safety talks with employees on SHE issues,
• Communicate with management and client to report on SHE issues
Experience:
2 years Safety Officer in mining and 3 years underground experience in mining environment

Job description:
Provide the leadership required to create high performance teams – capable of reaching all their targets as well as
the coaching required for all the teams to function successfully. Execute the statutory duties according to
Regulations 2:14:1 and 2:13:12
Minimum qualification Requirements:
• Grade 12,
• Blasting Certificate in fiery mines,
• Mine overseer Certificate of Competence,
• Mining engineering BEng/BSc/BTech will be an advantage,
• Valid driver’s licence with own transport,
• Have good communication skills. Able to read, write, speak and understand English,
• Must be in position to obtain a certificate of fitness for working underground.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Manage and carry out tactical strategies on day-to-day basis and ensure that departments KPI’s are met as
per scope,
• Ensure adherence to operational principles and legislation,
• Ensure all the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 and its regulations are complied with,
• Plan and ensure that all targets are met,
• Compliance to mine’s SOP/COP and standards,
• Control costs to ensure production volumes are achieved within budget,
• SHE compliance to support ZERO harm.
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years underground mining working experience. Minimum of 3 years in supervisory role.

Minimum of 3 years experience in similar underground mining environment.
